About the Role
Kanda is seeking a meticulous and proactive HR Operations Officer to support our organisation's compliance and workforce management. Reporting to the HR Operations Manager, you will be instrumental in overseeing certification tracking, onboarding, contract management, system audits, and regulatory reporting. This role ensures all HR operational processes align with internal policies and legislative requirements, providing high-level administrative and systems support to both internal and external stakeholders.

This is a full-time opportunity to contribute significantly to our People & Culture team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compliance Management & Licensing: Track, monitor, and manage the expiry/renewal of mandatory certifications (Working with Children Checks/Blue Cards, NDIS Worker Screening Checks, AHPRA).
  • New Employee Onboarding: Coordinate the onboarding process, including issuing contracts, confirming pre-employment checks, and enrolling in mandatory training.
  • HR Systems & Data Integrity: Maintain accurate staff records in Employment Hero and other HRMS/legislative platforms, ensuring data integrity.
  • Award Interpretation: Interpret and apply provisions under relevant industrial awards (SCHADS, Clerks, Nurses Awards).
  • Administrative Support: Manage email correspondence, record messages, and provide administrative assistance to the HR team.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with internal departments and external bodies regarding compliance and certifications.

About You
  • Demonstrated experience (minimum 2 years preferred) in HR administration, compliance, or onboarding, ideally within disability, aged care, child safety, or community services.
  • Strong understanding of legislative and licensing requirements relevant to the sector (Blue Card, NDIS, Aged Care, Nursing).
  • Proficiency in HRMS platforms such as Employment Hero and confident with Microsoft Excel.
  • Familiarity with interpreting industrial awards (SCHADS, Clerks, Nurses).
  • Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.
  • High-level organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Commitment to confidentiality and professional conduct.
  • Hold a current Working with Children Suitability Blue Card, NDIS Worker Screening Yellow Card & Class C Drivers Licence.
