Scope and Purpose
Supporting transaction-related processes such as project appraisal, negotiations, due diligence, legal documentation and assisting in monitoring of booked assets
- Undertake Financial Analysis (P&L, BS, CF, EVA and others)
- Prepare credit submissions including new proposals, variation requests and annual reviews.
- Managing credit and financial aspects of project analysis, including financial analysis of companies, technical and operational appraisals, production of financial projections, security, and cash-flow models
- Financial Modelling (read, understand, manipulate, sensitivity analysis). Review of financial modelling of business cases and building project models for new business opportunities
- Produce Project Finance Ratings using the internal rating tool for new projects and for existing projects on an annual basis or as and when required. Clearly articulate analytical opinions and criteria associated with Project Rating Model
- Prudential Monitoring of loan exposures - Participating in monitoring of existing investments, including preparation of regular monitoring reports and reviews based on meetings with client, site visits, financial review and other research
- Gathering and analyzing project-related information through research, due diligence and independent inquiry.
- Maintain updated knowledge and closely monitor projects where assigned primary account officer
- Where required assist in coordination of the process of syndication of underwritten assets in conjunction with other book runners
- Structure, execute and close transactions with minimal direction of senior team members and evidence capacity to work independently
- Assist in the co-ordination and preparation of all internal reporting requirements
Assist the Team Leader as requested on necessary due diligence, research, financial modelling, preparation of credit proposal. Complete all other project related matters as directed by team leaders.
Required Experience
- 4-6 years’ experience in project finance
- Strong background in financial modelling, deal structuring, and infrastructure or energy sectors.
Required Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Business, or a related field;
- Master’s degree or MBA preferred
- Strong proficiency in financial modelling, valuation, and credit analysis
- Familiarity with sector-specific frameworks (PPA structures, concession agreements, EPC and O&M contracts)
