About the Role

As the Industry Engagement Coordinator , you’ll be the key connector between VU’s student community and the broader industry opportunities. Your focus will be on making it easier for employers to access student talent, and easier for students to understand what employers are looking for and how to succeed.

Working closely with the Industry Engagement Lead, you’ll build strong, responsive relationships with employers, coordinate meaningful engagement opportunities, and help translate these into internships, projects, and graduate roles.

This is a full time position at a HEP 7 $97,863 - $105,932 classification +17% superannuation working 36.75 hours per week over a fixed term contract period (Until 26/06/2026). Located at our Footscray Park Campus , with hybrid flexibility (up to 2 WFH days).

Key Duties

An example of your responsibilities or duties you may perform will include:

  • Deliver high-impact, coordinated support to employers, offering tailored solutions that connect students to placements, internships, and graduate opportunities- often within short timeframes
  • Build strategic internal partnerships across WIL, academic, and industry engagement teams to ensure a collaborative, cohesive employer engagement approach.
  • Design and deliver creative, student-focused initiatives that align with industry needs and resonate with VU’s diverse student cohort.
  • Write and coordinate communications to promote Industry opportunities to students and internal stakeholders.
  • Leverage data and feedback to refine and scale Industry engagement activities

About You:

  • Expertise in graduate recruitment, partnerships or relationship management
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience collaborating across teams and ability to share insights and learnings with a range of stakeholders
