Support Worker – Female (Community Participation & Mental Health Support)
Location: Inner West & Eastern Suburbs, Sydney
Pay Rate: In accordance with the SCHADS Award, reflective of experience and certifications. ABN: $40.00/hr
We are looking for a female support worker to assist participants in engaging with their community through social and recreational activities, including supporting those with mental health needs.
About the Role:
- Provide one-on-one community participation support, including social outings, hobbies, and skill-building activities.
- Support participants experiencing mental health challenges with empathy and understanding.
- Encourage independence, confidence, and wellbeing in community settings.
- Maintain a respectful and inclusive environment for all participants.
Important: Some participants require gender-specific support due to personal needs. Therefore, female staff are required in accordance with section 31(2) of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 (NSW).
Requirements:
- Female applicants only, in line with the genuine occupational requirement.
- No prior experience necessary; training will be provided.
- Current or willingness to obtain NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check.
- First Aid & CPR certification
- Reliable transport and valid driver’s licence.
- ABN for contracting at $40/hr.
