Looking for an Infrastructure Manager for the GBIS team.About the Role
As an Infrastructure Manager, you will be responsible for the strategic implementation, management and support of key infrastructure technologies that underpin the Service Stream group. Maintain quality and cost of all aspects of IT infrastructure while maintaining high levels of support across multiple streams. You will provide an escalation point for all IT Infrastructure aspects in resolving major infrastructure issues.
You will join a high-performing, welcoming team, based at our modern Head Office, which offers a vibrant environment featuring a balcony, BBQ area, collaborative and quiet spaces, and plenty of natural light.
Please note - this is a max term role for 6-12 months.
About the role
Your key responsibilities will include:
Demonstrates leadership through development and mentoring of IT support teams, responsiveness to business needs and motivation of diverse, cross-functional teams to achieve positive business results
Delivery of infrastructure services, networks, and applications with the view of maintaining capacity and availability
Develops and recommends policies and procedures with regards to data security and privacy
Manage allocated projects relating to business integration and office establishments. Liaise with the network, telephony and other engineers/suppliers to ensure business and office integrations are run smoothly
Proactively lead service improvements of administrative tasks via automation and scripting
Participate in reviewing operational infrastructure requirements and providing recommendations as required
Makes timely, sound decisions based on analysis & experience. Relies on extensive experience and good judgment to ensure that expectations are met and that business objectives are achieved
Manage relationships with Managed Service Providers including period reviews to ensure appropriate vendors are engaged
Performs cost control activities and monitors revenues and expenditures to assure sound fiscal control
Provide ongoing improvements to documentation of system configurations, application installs and procedures, etc.
Ensure all changes in the infrastructure and application environment are satisfactorily tested and implemented via the Change Management process. This should align with ITIL best practices and standards.
Provide assistance and guidance to the rest of team, help pass on knowledge to junior members
Provide major incident support in accordance with the escalation procedures.
About you
Our ideal candidate will have:
10+ years’ experience in Windows Administration\System Management\3rd Level Support.
Extensive experience working in large multi-site environments
3+ years in leadership roles.
Proven track record with systems support & detailed knowledge of the Microsoft family of applications (Active Directory, Group Policy, IIS, SQL, Exchange, SharePoint, O365, Azure etc.)
Experience in virtualisation (ESX \ VMware and Hyper-V)
Experience with storage, create\modify\delete LUN’s, fibre switch fabric knowledge.
Experience with AWS infrastructure environments, VMC and EC2, RDS, S3, FSx, etc
Tertiary degree in Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience.
AWS certifications an advantage.
MCSA / MCSE / CCNA (or equivalent) certification an asset.
