The Department
The Alfred Cancer Program is responsible for the overall delivery of a comprehensive cancer service which involves a number of clinical areas and units including; Medical Oncology, Clinical Haematology, Bone Marrow Transplant, Apheresis, State-wide Haemophilia Service, Radiation Oncology, Clinical Trials, Palliative Care and the Victorian Melanoma Service. Alfred Cancer’s mission is working together to provide comprehensive patient centered, quality care through investment, research and innovation.
The Role

As the Innovation and Improvement Manager, you will lead and support a range of operational improvement and service development projects, working closely with multidisciplinary teams across the program. Qualifications and Experience Required
Essential
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia via AHPRA
- Experience managing improvement and change projects in a clinical environment
- Experience working with diverse stakeholders and collaborating with people from different levels and roles
- Exceptional influencing and relationship management skills, including the ability to develop and maintain strong collaborative partnerships
- Well-developed interpersonal skills, incorporating high level of computer literacy, written and verbal communication, negotiation and facilitation skills
- Process improvement methodology experience
Desirable
- Demonstrated understanding and experience with Alfred IT systems
- Knowledge and experience in a cancer related field
- Demonstrates advance strategy and planning skills including qualitative and quantitative data analysis
