About the Role
We’re looking for a passionate, culturally grounded Intensive Case Manager to deliver our Kunga Stopping Violence Program – a trauma-informed, pre- and post-release support initiative for Aboriginal women in the Alice Springs Correctional Centre. You’ll guide participants through healing and reintegration, facilitating training, intensive case planning, and long-term community support.
This is a rare opportunity to work one-on-one with women on their journey to recovery, reconnection, and resilience.
What You’ll Do
Manage a small, focused caseload (max 12 clients)
Facilitate a 4-week trauma & violence prevention course in prison (twice a year)
Deliver holistic, culturally safe case management post-release
Support access to housing, rehab, employment, education, and family reconnection
Engage in reflective practice to support your own wellbeing
Be part of a collaborative, trauma-informed team
You Bring
Strong case management skills & cultural safety practices
Knowledge of issues facing Aboriginal women in the justice system
Experience working with First Nations clients & communities
A commitment to advocacy, dignity, and lasting change
Ochre Card, driver’s license, and a clean criminal history
Bonus if you:
Speak a Central Australian Aboriginal language
Have experience delivering group training
Hold a relevant qualification (social work, community services, criminology)
