About the role:
Are you passionate about making a real difference in young lives? We're looking for a dedicated Intensive Placement Support Worker to support children and young people in our Intensive Foster Care Program based in Gladstone. These young people often face complex and high-level needs, and your role will be vital in helping them thrive.
You'll work closely with a committed care team to deliver tailored therapeutic support, help develop behaviour management strategies, and empower Carers with the tools they need to provide consistent, trauma-informed care.
What will a typical day look like?
Support foster carers and children through personalised guidance, training, and community engagement.
Collaborate with care teams and stakeholders to ensure stable, therapeutic placements.
Assess and respond to the needs of children, young people, and carers using observation and evaluation skills.
Participate in carer inductions, development planning, and a shared on-call support roster.
Maintain high standards in documentation, compliance, and up-to-date knowledge of care practices and legislation.
Mandatory Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in social or behavioural sciences, social work or psychology.
- 3 years relevant experience

- Full COVID-19 Vaccination
- Ability to obtain a Blue Card (working with children check positive notice or exemption)
- Ability to obtain a Yellow Card (disability services positive notice or exemption notice)
