About the Department for Correctional Services
The Department employs approximately 2,000 staff and has responsibility for nine prisons and fifteen Community Correctional offices across the state. Duties
The Manager Strategic Performance, Intensive Compliance Unit (ICU) works under limited direction and is responsible to the Regional Director, Southern Region for the strategic performance and quality control of the Intensive Compliance Unit. The incumbent will be responsible for leading and co-ordinating the development and implementation of new and expanding program initiatives and for ongoing program evaluation, trend analysis to identify strategic performance opportunities and auditing. The incumbent will manage and take a proactive approach in reporting on the program budget and the effective service delivery of the Electronic Monitoring program across the state. The incumbent will also have line management responsibility for the Electronic Monitoring Support (EMSSA) staff and be responsible for the implementation of effective, efficient, equitable and safe, work practices and procedures, and for promoting a commitment to service excellence.
The incumbent may also be required to manage a number of major projects and participate in Department and Government initiatives.
Special Conditions
- Section 47 of the Public Sector Act 2009 applies in conjunction with other provisions of the act and other applicable industrial entitlements.
- The incumbent is required to satisfactorily complete a National Criminal History Check;
- A current South Australian Driver’s Licence is essential;
- A flexible approach to working hours is required;
- Some interstate and intrastate travel will be required which may necessitate overnight absences.
Requirements
Essential: Nil
Desirable: Appropriate tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Procurement or related disciplines.
