We're currently looking for a Communications Officer to join our team. In this role, you'll be at the heart of our storytelling and engagement efforts, from crafting compelling internal communications to shaping our public voice, you'll work across multiple channels to connect with our people, communities, and stakeholders.
You'll be a key driver in ensuring our brand voice is consistent, impactful, and deeply aligned with our purpose €” whether that's writing for our internal intranet, scripting videos, or supporting events and community campaigns for our seniors and veterans.
In your new role, you will:
- Develop and deliver engaging internal communications across MS Teams, SharePoint intranet, email, and events
- Craft clear, compelling content for newsletters, speeches, reports, brochures, and websites
- Collaborate with senior leaders to align messaging across our diverse business units
- Build strong connections with veterans, residents, families, and community partners to gather authentic stories
- Support the planning and promotion of community events, commemorations, and awareness campaigns Ensure brand consistency and uphold RSL LifeCare
- 's reputation in all communications
- Monitor communication effectiveness and recommend improvements based on analytics and feedback
A bit about you:
You're a storyteller at heart, with a knack for connecting people to purpose. You thrive in a busy, collaborative environment and can switch easily between strategic planning and hands-on content creation. To be successful in this role we'd expect you to have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Communications, PR, Journalism, or similar.
- 5+ years in a communications role, not-for-profit, health, or aged care experience
- Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills
- Experience delivering internal communications and managing multi-channel content Proficiency in video production
- - scripting, filming, and editing
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects
- A genuine respect for veterans and seniors
- Skills in Canva, FLIP and Swift Digital
