We have an exciting opportunity for a Library Team Leader to join our dedicated team at North Lakes Library. In this leadership role, you will play a key part in driving team performance, fostering a positive workplace culture and delivering exceptional service to our community. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing a team of library staff in their daily operations as well as managing the library’s collection to meet the needs of the local community.
- Use a range of workforce management initiatives to lead and support your team, whilst providing expert advice and support to the senior leaders and staff.
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders and regional partners to build relationships and ensure the library’s services are meeting the needs of the community.
- Additionally, you would be responsible for maintaining the library’s facility and venue, contributing to the review of library processes and services and preparing business plans and reports on service outcomes.
North Lakes Library is open 7 days/week, closed on public holidays. We operate with a 4 week rotating roster, and the successful applicant will need to be available to work 5 out of 7 days as part of the ordinary hours. Shift times will be between 8:00am to 6:15pm, we anticipate the roster for this role will include working 1 weekend (Sat & Sun) every 4 weeks and may include late closing one evening a week at 8:15pm.

To succeed in this role, you will:
- Build strong, supportive relationships with your team and local stakeholders to foster positive customer experiences
- Apply your expertise in process improvement to enhance library operations, while maintaining high standards of presentation and facility care
- Hold a valid QLD Working with Children Blue Card, or be eligible and willing to obtain one prior to commencement
