About the Role
As a Lifestyle Officer, you’ll help residents to find meaning and purpose through activities designed to enhance their sense of connection, fun and relaxation.
Your warm-hearted care will provide experiences that enhance our residents’ wellbeing and overall quality of life and truly make a positive impact on their lives. It really is an incredibly rewarding role and a lot of fun!
We are looking to appoint interested and enthusiastic individuals to work at IRT Kangara Waters, Belconnen:
This is a Permanent, Part Time role - working 24 hours per week from 9:00am to 3:30pm or 11:00am to 5:30pm, Monday to Sunday.
Your work may include:
Helping facilitate a- range of engaging onsite activities such as bingo, floor bowls, craft and special events Helping to develop and plan a range of social, recreational and cultural activitie
- s Assisting residents on bus trips and community outing
- s Supporting resident participation and offering warm companionshi
- p Ensuring residents’ needs, values and spiritual values and cultural preferences are taken into accoun

To Be Successful You Will Have
- A Diploma or Certificate IV in Leisure and Health (or willing to obtain) Initiative and creative flai
- r Excellent written and verbal communication skill
- s The ability to work as part of a team and prioritise work The ability to put a smile on a residents face and brighten their da
- y A big heart – you’re empathetic and have a passion for supporting older Australians to live their best life possibl
- e Knowledge of the needs of persons living with dementia (desirable)
