The Litigation Co-ordinator will co-ordinate and provide expert advice to Crown Law staff and clients in relation to the:
acceptance of service requirements and client standing arrangements within Crown Law
management and processing of originating material served on the State of Queensland
compliance with court requirements and client Service Level Agreements
adherence to departmental and Crown Law procedures and policies.
Your key responsibilities
Under the direction of the Deputy Crown Solicitor manage complex queries from Crown Law clients, members of the public and other stakeholders.
Review legal documents and correspondence with a view to provide advice and support regarding file management.
Manage Crown Law's contact us inbox.
Maintain key dates using practice management software to ensure legal requirements are met.
Keep and maintain a registry of all legal documents served on the State of Queensland through the Crown Solicitors office.
Manage and distribute the daily mail for the branch.
Provide expert advice across the practice, to legal staff and to various stakeholders regarding the acceptance of service requirements and client standing arrangements.
Coordinate the processing of originating material served on the State of Queensland and ensure compliance with Court requirements and client Service Level Agreements
Assist with contingency liability reporting.
Assist with collating annual questions on notice preparation for Crown Law.
Manage Branch adherence to Departmental, Crown Law, and Litigation procedures and policies and liaise with appropriate authorities in the resolution of problems.
Develop and maintain strong internal and external professional networks.
Work in collaboration with all areas of the practice to provide a high level of service to clients.
Proactively consult and liaise with clients and stakeholders, both internal and external in the provision of services and resolution of problems.
In consultation, develop and implement comprehensive legal and administrative policies and procedures to ensure continuous improvement.
Participate in special projects as required.
Where required, work across various teams and branches in Crown Law.
Other duties as required.
