About the role:
The Local Area Marketing Specialist for The Athlete's Foot is to develop and execute tailored marketing strategies that support our brand at a community level. Must be an excellent people person and thrive in building long term relationships with key community stakeholders. This role will support our store managers, area managers and state managers in building strong connections with high value schools, sporting facilities/associations, run event teams and health professionals. They collaborate to understand the needs and opportunities, build out marketing materials required including tactical comms to partner database and calendarize events to ensure The Athlete’s Foot remains top of mind.
Your key responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Plan and implement local marketing campaigns that drive foot traffic, brand awareness, and sales for individual stores.
- Collaborate with store managers and frontline teams to understand local market needs and opportunities.
- Manage relationships with key schools, health professionals, community groups, and event organisers.
- Collaborate with store teams on tactical activations including local events, sponsorships, promotions, and in-store experiences.
- Ability to create and edit authentic content, captured from phone from events
- Develop all marketing collateral and ensure consistent brand messaging across all touchpoints.
- Monitor, analyse, and report on the effectiveness of local marketing activities and ROI.
- Stay across competitor activity, community trends, and local insights to inform marketing decisions.
- Support national marketing campaigns with local amplification tactics.
- 1-2 years' of experience in a similar role
- Intermediate skills in graphic design
- Proven ability to plan and deliver community-based marketing initiatives
- A creative thinker with project management capabilities
- Experience with digital marketing tools, social media and local media outreach
- Genuine interest and knowledge of the performance footwear retail industry
- Self-motivated individual who works well autonomously and within a team
- Excellent communications skills, professional, enthusiastic, and can-do attitude.
