This is a hands-on role that plays a vital part in supporting both the kitchen and events teams. You’ll act as the key link between catering preparation and event delivery by ensuring all equipment, supplies, and food items are accurately packed, labelled, and transported on time. This role also involves assisting with on-site drop offs, maintaining catering inventory, and ensuring company vehicles and storage areas are clean, safe, and event-ready at all times.
- Prepare and manage catering equipment checklists, ensuring all items are accurately packed into vans ready for transportation.
- Coordinate with the head chef to ensure all food items are picked, packed and labeled correctly for each event.
- Assist with onsite event set up
- Maintain adequate inventory of catering supplies and equipment
- Ensure company transport vehicles are well maintained and ready for use
- General kitchen / storage support
- Ensure the storage area is kept clean, tidy and safe at all times
- Quality assurance for all outgoing deliveries and presentations
- Ensure compliance with all food hygiene, handling and transportation regulations
Qualifications
- Highly organised
- Ability to lift and carry up to 5kg
- Strong understanding of health and safety and food regulations
- Valid Drivers Licence
