Rosebel Gold Mines N.V. is seeking a dedicated Logistics Supervisor to join our team in the Procurement and Logistics department at Rosebel Gold Mines N.V. As a Logistics Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the transportation and delivery of goods and materials to ensure efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide front-line leadership and direction to the Site Services Team in all aspects of site logistics.
Ensure all team members are adequately trained and certified for their assigned tasks and equipment operation.
Equip the team with the necessary training, tools, and equipment to perform their duties safely and efficiently.
Manage staffing levels to ensure sufficient coverage at all times, including on-call scheduling for after-hours and emergency support.
Oversee proactive monitoring of all equipment and lead investigations and resolutions of any operational issues to minimize disruption to mining activities.
Ideal candidate will have:
Completion of Senior Secondary Education.
Diploma in Facilities Management, Logistics, or a related field.
At least 5 years of experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
Minimum of 5 years in a supervisory or lead-hand capacity.
Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations governing mining and milling operations.
Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English; proficiency in Mandarin is a plus.
Willingness to work on a rotational weekday schedule in Paramaribo.
