About the Role
Eastern Guruma is seeking expressions of interest for a hands-on and versatile Handy Person to join our Integrated Services team. In this role, you’ll take on a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks across pools, spas, fences, outdoor areas and accommodation units, ensuring our sites remain safe, functional and welcoming.
When not engaged in maintenance, you’ll support our retail operations, assist with loading and unloading deliveries, and provide friendly customer service. This is a mobile role that works across multiple sites, with the opportunity to step in and support other team members as required.
Skills and Experiences:
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine and breakdown maintenance on pools, spas, fencing, patios, decking, reticulation and playground equipment.
Carry out room and house renovations including painting, tiling, fixture replacement and minor carpentry.
Complete work orders, update digital maintenance logs and capture before/after photos of jobs.
Assist in retail and logistics operations – serving customers, processing POS sales, unloading deliveries and preparing orders.
Collaborate with supervisors, trades and cleaning teams to deliver seamless site services.
Always work safely, following site rules, procedures and Eastern Guruma’s values.
What We’re Looking For
Trade qualification (carpentry, plumbing, electrical) or strong multi-trade maintenance experience.
Hands-on skills with hand/power tools and outdoor equipment repairs.
Pool and spa maintenance knowledge (desirable).
Current “C” class driver’s licence; forklift licence (LF) highly regarded.
National Police Clearance and work references.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks and adapt across sites.
Sound computer literacy to manage digital work orders and communication.
