About the role
As our Manager, Knowledge Management, you'll lead library and archival services, drive innovation in digital tools, ensure compliance, and collaborate across teams to support research, preserve history, and enhance the member and staff knowledge experience. Reporting to the Head of Member Operations, you'll lead a high-performing team and shape the future of knowledge services.
As our Manager, Knowledge Management, you'll also:
Lead strategic development and day-to-day operations of library and archival services, ensuring alignment with RACGP’s priorities and the evolving needs of members and staff.
Drive innovation in knowledge services through the use of digital platforms, AI tools, open access resources, and user analytics to enhance member experience and access. Oversee the development and implementation of systems, repositories, and tools that support intuitive, self-service and expert-assisted access to curated knowledge.
Establish and monitor KPIs and service standards to ensure high-quality delivery, continuous improvement, and stakeholder satisfaction.
Curate and stewardship of scholarly collections, digital repositories, archives, and artefacts that reflect the history, evolution and diversity of the general practice profession.
Skills & Experience
Completion of a tertiary qualification in librarianship, information management or related subject providing eligibility for professional membership of the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA).
Extensive experience managing library and specialist information services, including leadership of staff, oversight of collections and systems, procurement, and budgeting.
Proven expertise in evaluating, implementing, and licensing digital resources with strong knowledge of vendor management, licensing models, compliance, and copyright (library and archival).
Demonstrated ability to strategically apply new technologies to drive innovation in library operations and service development.
Strong understanding of academic research, information literacy, and a demonstrated ability to deliver effective training sessions and workshops.
A high level of proficiency in historical and archival reference work, literature searching and collection development.
