The Role
The Knowledge Management & Project Support Officer (KM&PSO) assists in the delivery of projects and help-desk services, providing advice to internal stakeholders in the creation and publication of web content. The KM&PSO harnesses information and opportunities to improve the user journey and the user experience of audiences in a large web environment.
They will contribute their expertise to the continuous improvement of the Defence web environment, via the provision of exceptional customer service, project delivery and content production that guides the efficient and effective delivery of digital initiatives.
This is an opportunity to further hone and broaden Knowledge Management skills in a fast paced and unique business environment to deliver outcomes by supporting the creation and compliance review of content on Defence websites. With excellent attention to detail, the KM&PSO is able to prioritise work in line with broader organisational objectives and commit to tight deadlines when needed.
About our Team
The Directorate of Communications, Change and Corporate Graphics (DCCCG) leads a diverse portfolio with enterprise wide reach. We develop a range of communication products, have accountability for web content, web publishing services, the Defence brand, and lead organizational change for a significant transformation program across the organisation. The Web team within DCCCG, is a team of web experts, including web developers, web content and audience engagement strategists, web content publishers and training providers. The team works collaboratively, and with a mindset of continuous improvement and sustainability, to optimise the user experience of Defence websites and support efficient delivery of web communication and practices. The Web team has identified areas for improvement and need someone who can provide project support to deliver efficiency, productivity and delivering the best value to our customers.
Our Ideal Candidate
The KM&PSO will have experience contributing to project outputs, a commitment to web standards, the ability to produce content, source and analyse audience requirements, and experience with stakeholder engagement.
You will have demonstrated ability to analyse information in order to provide evidence-based strategic insights and recommendations regarding optimisation, quality assurance and standards compliance. You will have the ability to provide excellent customer service, write and review draft content, and work with stakeholders to iterate and continuously improve solutions.
The KM&PSO will contribute to project delivery, enthusiastically assist with the operational tasks, and triage web support requests. You will have the exciting opportunity to positively impact the internal web environment across a range of portfolios. Lastly, you will have experience in managing and coordinating multiple activities at once and implementing improvements.
Knowledge in Project and Change Management and the use of the Drupal, Dreamweaver, SharePoint and GovCMS platforms would be an advantage.
