About the Role
As Manager Reconstruction Claims and Payments, you will administer the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA) for infrastructure reconstruction. You’ll lead governance, financial systems, and assurance processes that enable fast, effective, and compliant funding delivery to NSW communities. Key responsibilities include:
Implementing best practice DRFA management frameworks.
Managing financial and reporting systems for DRFA and non-DRFA programs.
Reviewing and processing claims from delivery agencies and local councils for compliance.
Supporting audit and assurance activities with robust documentation.
Designing and implementing claims and payment systems.
Liaising with stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of funding guidelines.
Leading strategic projects to improve systems and protocols.

About You
You’ll bring a strong background in financial program management and a commitment to public service delivery. Ideally, you will have:
Extensive experience managing funding allocations and financial systems in complex environments.
Familiarity with bi-lateral funding arrangements, particularly DRFA.
Proven ability to lead governance, assurance, and reporting functions.
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
Experience designing and implementing financial processes and systems.
Essential requirements:
Tertiary qualification in accounting, finance or a related field and CPA/CA qualified or equivalent funding program management experience.

The NSW Reconstruction Authority (RA) is an executive agency of the Premier’s Department. The RA will improve how NSW plans for disasters and help communities to recover from them faster.
