About the Role:
The Manager Scheme Legal will oversee the management of significant legal cases with Scheme-wide impact, provide expert legal advice on complex legislative matters, and manage the Scheme Legal Team, which is a small, high-performing legal team that sits within Legal Services. This role is central to maintaining the Scheme's legal boundaries and ensuring its long-term viability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and report on significant legal cases.
- Provide legal advice on legal risks, trends, and legislative interpretation.
- Manage the Scheme Legal team.
- Assist in maintaining relationships with key legal and regulatory bodies.
- Contribute to legislative updates and regulatory compliance.
This role will be a fixed-term contract for 3 years.

The total remuneration package will be commensurate with the successful candidate’s qualifications, skills and experience.
About You:
- A Bachelor of Law, a current Practising Certificate and at least 5 years PAE
- Extensive experience in South Australian workers compensation and dispute management
- Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement capabilities
- Deep understanding of relevant legislation and regulatory frameworks.
