Responsible for ensuring policies, processes and systems are developed, maintained and continually improved to support the delivery of a range of administrative functions related to the provision of senior secondary results and certification for the Authority.
The VCAA is a statutory body responsible to the Victorian Minister for Education, serving both government and non-government schools. We provide high quality curriculum, assessment and reporting for all Victorian students birth to 18 years.
An exciting opportunity exists to join the Assessment and Reporting Division in the Student Records and Results Unit for an ongoing full-time position.

Role purpose
The Manager, Student Records and Results is responsible for ensuring policies, processes and systems are developed, maintained and continually improved to support the delivery of a range of administrative functions related to the provision of senior secondary results and certification for the Authority.
In addition to providing authoritative advice on a range of strategic issues, the role is responsible for managing high performing teams which:
- operate and administer a range of processes and digital systems for student registration, enrolment, processing and provision of results including credit and equivalent qualifications within an education setting
- provide expert support and advice to internal/external stakeholders as appropriate, in particular education providers, in the provision of administrative services
- ensure the timely, accurate and complete capture and maintenance of appropriate data relating to the delivery of education programs (e.g. enrolments and results), including determination of final outcomes for senior secondary candidates.
About the division
The Assessment and Reporting Division, within the VCAA, is responsible for:
- the delivery and reporting of all VCE examinations and National Assessment Program – Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) tests
- the development, delivery and marking of the General Achievement Test (GAT)
- overseeing the marking of all VCE examinations, including written, performance and Languages oral examinations
- managing the quality assurance and statistical moderation programs for VCE school-based assessments
- the development of VCAA online assessment and marking systems
- collecting, maintaining and processing student enrolment data and assessment results for VCE
- issuing VCE and VPC certification to students under delegation from the VRQA
- managing the Victorian Student Register and the issuing of Victorian Student Numbers
- providing technical and professional support for assessment and reporting matters to the VCAA Board, internal and external stakeholders liaising with national and international bodies on assessment and reporting matters.
To be successful in this role
The successful applicant will provide high level analysis and policy advice, have strong project management skills. Be a strong people leader and possess highly developed conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills. Combined with a flexible approach to managing their responsibilities. Attention to detail and quality assurance are key aspects to the successfully delivering outcomes in this role.
Experience and qualifications
Desirable: Relevant tertiary qualification in Project and Program Management
