About the Position
Are you a creative communicator who thrives in a busy, supportive team—and isn’t afraid to take initiative and run with a project? We’re looking for a Marketing and Communications Specialist who is equal parts collaborative team member and self-starter to help bring Act for Kids’ purpose to life.
This is a hands-on role, where you’ll be part of a busy, happy Fundraising, Advocacy and Marketing team, working to raise awareness, strengthen our brand and engage supporters across multiple channels.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of our social media strategy - including content planning, community management, scheduling, and reporting to grow engagement and support our broader marketing goals.
- Support development and execution of digital marketing strategies to profile Act for Kids.
- Contribute to development of communications materials including copywriting for impact reports, newsletters, brochures, speeches, fact sheets and website material.
- Support fundraising campaigns and events through traditional and digital channels.
- Bonus if you have experience creating video content – scripting, filming, editing for social media or campaigns.

About You
- Degree qualified in marketing/communications (or similar).
- Minimum three years’ experience in similar marketing and communications roles.
- Marketing experience in the not-for-profit sector is valued, but not essential.
- Skilled at writing compelling content, with experience managing social media and other platforms.
- Confident using website content management systems, email platforms, social media tools and analytics.
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills and understanding of donor-centred communication.

- Eligibility for a Working with Children Check or professional exemption.
- Current driver’s licence.
