About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Mental Health Support Worker to provide direct support to individuals living with mental health challenges in Koo Wee Rup. The role focuses on promoting independence, community participation, and self-directed recovery, while ensuring the safety and wellbeing of participants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide person-centred support to participants in line with their recovery goals.
- Assist with daily living tasks, community access, and social inclusion activities.
- Support individuals to build coping skills, resilience, and confidence.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes in line with organisational policies.
- Ensure safe work practices and uphold duty of care at all times.
- Collaborate with families, carers, and other professionals to provide consistent support.
Mandatory NDIS Compliance Requirements:
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (current and valid).
- Working With Children Check (WWCC).
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module – Quality, Safety and You (completed certificate).
- NDIS Code of Conduct adherence.
- Infection Control Training – COVID-19.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Police Check (within the last 12 months).
- Uphold privacy, confidentiality, and reporting obligations under the NDIS Practice Standards.
Requirements:
- Certificate III/IV in Mental Health, Community Services, or related field (or working towards).
- Experience supporting individuals with mental health conditions.
- Strong communication and active listening skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle.

Job Type: Casual
Pay: $42.00 – $70.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 5 per week

- Certificate I - IV (Preferred)

- Mental Health Support Work: 1 year (Required)
