• About the role:
As the Category Manager your focus will be Footwear, Apparel and Accessories. You’ll be responsible for building and executing a category strategy that drives profit, growth, and irresistible customer value. Leading a small but powerful team of Buyers and a Buying Assistant, you'll be at the heart of trend forecasting, supplier negotiation, pricing strategy and trading performance. From sharp buying instincts to commercial savvy, this is a hands-on leadership role with major impact.

• Your Key Responsibilities:
• Set and own the category strategy for footwear, apparel, and accessories — ensuring it’s value-led, trend-driven and margin-savvy.
• Identify white space and growth opportunities across all product verticals.
• Drive the overall category across Owned Buy and Marketplace to create a complimentary and cohesive product offer.
• Lead and develop your team, fostering pace, accountability, creativity, and commercial thinking.
• Build strong, mutually beneficial supplier relationships that deliver exclusivity, great margins and agility.
• Collaborate across marketing, e-commerce, logistics and planning to ensure perfect product drops and seamless execution.
• Champion a test-and-learn culture, using data to iterate and optimise product mix, pricing and promotional activity.
• Monitor and report on performance, stock turn, pricing architecture and customer metrics – and drive trading decisions that deliver results.
• What You Bring:
• Proven experience in senior buying, trading, or category management across fashion, footwear, or lifestyle retail (online and/or value-focused is a major plus).
• Strong leadership skills — you know how to coach, motivate, and drive high performance in your team.
• You’re product obsessive with an uncanny instinct for trends, pricing, and what customers love.
• A dealmaker at heart — you know how to negotiate hard, protect margin, and deliver commercial wins.
• Data is your friend — you're comfortable with trading dashboards, forecasting, and performance metrics.
• You thrive in agile, fast-moving environments, and you’re not afraid to roll up your sleeves to make things happen.
• A collaborative mindset — you work seamlessly across teams to get the best results.
