The Townsville Control Centre is responsible for coordinating train services across more than 3,500km of track from Rockhampton North to Cairns, west to Longreach and Mt Isa. We connect communities through the safe and efficient delivery of freight and passenger services.
We have an exciting permanent full-time opportunity based in Townsville for a Network Administrator to join our team! As a Network Administrator you will play a pivotal role in keeping our extensive Regional Queensland rail network running safely and efficiently, ensuring smooth operations.
The Network Administrator role makes a meaningful impact by:
- efficiently rostering Train Control personnel to meet operational and business needs.
- ensuring compliance with industrial instruments and legislative requirements.
- performing payroll and administrative tasks within the Train Control Centre.
- supporting safety, network performance, and strong stakeholder relationships.

We are seeking to connect with a resilient and adaptable professional who:
- performs under time pressure.
- manages competing priorities.
- demonstrates a high level of computer skills, with specific experience using Microsoft applications.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in:
- rostering for large teams including ad hoc shift coverage (24/7 rosters highly regarded).
- interpreting and applying Enterprise Agreements.
- completing Payroll duties is highly regarded.
- factoring cost and business impact into decision making.
