CHC Helicopters is looking to appoint a suitably experienced Operations Officer, within its fixed base Karratha, WA for a fixed term period until 30th June 2026. Reporting to Base Manager, the Operations Officer will be responsible for the coordination of the Daily Flying Schedule and administration of the base.

- Coordinate the Daily Flying schedule liaising with Pilots, Engineers & Ground Staff.
- Liaise with Onshore and Offshore Clients with regards to flight requirements and changes.
- Maintain a continuous Flight Following watch during the period of duty.
- Co-ordinate SAR & Medevac response in accordance with Company procedures.
- Complete daily flight statistics for monthly reporting.
- Ensure the operations and duty hand-over reports are recorded in an efficient manner.
- Base Administration – book accommodation, create purchase orders, reconcile invoices & organise any building maintenance requests.
Hours of Work:
- Operations Team provide 24hr coverage. Shift work is required. Early, Late and on Call shifts are a requirement of this role.
- Shifts are between 8 hours to 12 hours duration.
- Flexibility in Start and finish times are required and can be at short notice.
- When on call, be available for medevac callout & coordination.
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Competent computer skills especially with Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work autonomously under general direction
- Team oriented and ability to work collaboratively across teams
- Demonstrate a positive, flexible and adaptable approach
- Excellent customer service skills
- Aviation operational experience or experience in a similar role will be viewed favourably however not required.
