We’re looking for a detail-driven Payroll and Accounts Officer to join our Finance team. You’ll manage end-to-end payroll across Australia and New Zealand while supporting accounts receivable to keep daily operations running smoothly.
This is a hands-on, fast-paced role suited to someone who enjoys variety and working across multiple finance functions.
Your Role
- Process weekly and monthly payroll for Australia and New Zealand
- Manage payroll queries, timesheets, and employee setup
- Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with PAYG, Super, Payroll Tax, etc.
- Handle STP reporting and daily bank reconciliations
- Process payments (EFT, cheques, direct deposit) accurately
- Support accounts receivable: invoicing, collections, and client queries
- BAS / GST lodgements
- Assist with month-end reporting and reconciliations
- 4+ years’ payroll experience across Australia and New Zealand, with strong knowledge of relevant legislation
- ELMO payroll experience preferred, not essential
- High attention to detail and advanced Excel skills
- Clear communicator with strong interpersonal skills
- Able to work independently and thrive in a team environment
- CPA qualification (or working towards) is desirable, but not essential
