Payroll Officer
About the Role
Join one of the world’s most recognised hospitality brands as a Payroll Officer supporting the Hilton Melbourne Finance Cluster. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced payroll professional seeking flexibility, stability, and the chance to work with a high-performing and supportive team.
You will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely payroll services as part of a cluster role supporting three premium Hilton hotels. This is a permanent part-time position, ideally commencing on 1st September. Working 3 days per week (primarily Monday to Wednesday), this role is well suited to someone with strong payroll experience and exceptional attention to detail.
What will I be doing?
- End-to-end payroll processing using MicrOpay and UKG Dimensions
- Calculation and submission of superannuation, PAYG, payroll tax, and other statutory payments
- Preparation of payroll journals, reports, and reconciliations
- Lodgement of Single Touch Payroll (STP) to the ATO
- Coordinating leave entitlements and termination calculations
- Maintaining compliance with payroll legislation and internal policies
- Responding to payroll queries and liaising hotel teams
- Indexing and archiving payroll records for audit and compliance purposes
What are we looking for?
- Minimum 2 years’ end-to-end payroll experience, preferably in a high-volume or multi-site environment
- Strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation and compliance
- Experience with MicrOpay and/or UKG Dimensions highly desirable
- Working knowledge of the HIGA would be highly advantageous
- Advanced Excel skills and excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to manage competing deadlines
