About the Role
We are on the lookout for a Payroll Specialist to join our People & Culture team. In this 6-month fixed term contract role, you will hit the ground running and support our Payroll Leader with key BAU processing (end to end). Along the way you will handle complex payroll tasks, keep us compliant with regulations and help drive great experiences for our employees.
Key elements of the position include:
- Reviewing and processing employee pay, deductions, and entitlements.
- Assessing and resolving payroll related issues/queries, providing sound advice to our employees with regards to EA’s industrial instruments, policies and procedures.
- Maintain and update payroll systems with employee data changes, with a lens on accuracy and consistency.
- Ensure payroll processes comply with relevant laws and regulations, including preparation and submission of statutory reports.
- Identifying and implementing process improvements to streamline payroll processing, ensuring payroll systems are up-to-date and functional.
About You
This role will suit an adaptable and dependable payroll professional with a passion for creating great experiences for our employees. Recent history with SAP SuccessFactors will be viewed favourably, as will experience gained in the utilities sector.
Other things we’d love to see include:
- Strong end to end payroll processing experience, ideally gained in medium sized, multi-site organisations.
- In-depth knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and awards.
- Experience running pay cycles attached to multiple industrial instruments, including experiencing administering and interpreting complex Enterprise Bargaining Agreements (EBA’s).
- Advanced Excel capabilities, with confidence working across complex data sets and spreadsheets.
- Attention to detail and the ability to maintain this under times of pressure / impending deadlines.
- High ethical standards and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Relevant qualifications in Payroll, Accounting, Finance or Business Administration preferred.
