ABOUT THE ROLE...
We seek an experienced, enthusiastic, and detail-focused Payroll Specialist to join the People and Performance team in a part-time (0.8 FTE) capacity based at Adelaide Zoo.
You will report to the Payroll Manager in delivering overall operational payroll services for ZOOSSA. Working in a busy People and Performance team your focus will be on
- Processing end-to-end fortnightly payroll
- Generating payroll-related reports
- Assisting employees and managers with general payroll enquiries
- Performing data input and filing
- Supporting the Payroll Manager with a payroll review
- Analysing current payroll systems and processes; and
- Contributing to streamlining and improving payroll service delivery
ABOUT YOU...
Our successful candidate will have a proactive attitude with a positive approach to challenges. You will be a great problem solver and be able to work in tight turnaround times for payroll delivery. To be successful, you will be able to demonstrate:
- End-to-end payroll processing experience using various payroll software.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills, for detailed reporting and data analysis.
- Skills in identifying process gaps and implementing practical solutions.
- Strong attention to detail and experience in reviewing systems and workflow processes
- Skills in managing enquiries and complaints.
- In-depth understanding of payroll legislation, Awards, Enterprise Agreements and contract interpretation
