About the Role:

We are seeking a proactive and people-focused People Support Centre Lead to manage the day-to-day operations of our People Support team. This team is the first point of contact for employee inquiries, supporting a wide range of HR processes including onboarding, benefits, HRIS navigation, policy guidance, and more.

As the Team Lead, you will provide hands-on leadership, coaching, and support to ensure the team delivers accurate, timely, and empathetic service to all employees. You will also help optimize workflows, ensure knowledge base accuracy, and partner with key HR stakeholders to continuously improve the employee experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coach a team of People Support Specialists, ensuring service standards are met.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage change effectively, ensuring smooth transitions and stakeholder alignment in dynamic environments.
  • Apply critical thinking to design and enhance a People Support Centre that is user-friendly and fit for purpose, while constructively challenging existing processes to drive improvement.
  • Monitor workloads, manage scheduling and coverage, and ensure SLAs (Service Level Agreements) are consistently achieved.
  • Serve as an escalation point for complex employee issues, ensuring resolution in alignment with company policies and values.
  • Oversee daily operations of the People Support Centre including ticket management, call/chat support, and knowledge sharing.
  • Analyse service trends and recommend improvements to processes, knowledge articles, or technology.
  • Maintain a high level of employee satisfaction by ensuring inquiries are resolved with efficiency and professionalism.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to streamline workflows and enhance service delivery.
  • Partner with HR Centres of Excellence (Payroll, Recruitment, etc.) to resolve systemic issues and provide feedback from the front lines.
  • Track KPIs and generate regular performance reports (e.g., response times, resolution rates).
  • Support onboarding and continuous training for new and existing team members.
  • Conduct regular quality audits to ensure accuracy and consistency in responses.
  • Maintain up-to-date and relevant knowledge base content.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • 3+ years’ experience in HR support, shared services, or customer service.
  • 1+ years’ experience in a supervisory or team lead role.
  • Strong working knowledge of HR processes, systems, and employee lifecycle activities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for delivering great employee experiences.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify service trends.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems and HR analytics/reporting.
