Job Description
The School of Nursing and Midwifery is offering two exciting part-time opportunities for motivated and organised Placement Officers to join our team on fixed term contracts:
An 80% part time position: Contract through to 31 March 2027, commencing as soon as possible.
A 60% part time position: 12-month contract commencing late September 2025.
Both roles are based at our Logan Campus, supporting high-quality clinical placements for Nursing and Midwifery students. You’ll be a key member of the Clinical Placement Office, collaborating with both academic and professional staff, under the guidance of the Placement Team Leader.
The role will be part of the Clinical Placement Office and will work closely with both professional and academic staff from the Nursing and Midwifery disciplines, under the guidance of the Placement Team Leader.
Key Responsibilities
Provide high-level administrative support for the coordination and delivery of student placements.
Allocate, manage, and monitor placement activities using dedicated software systems.
Ensure accurate placement data and reporting.
Support the implementation of placement strategies across the School and Health Group.
Attend relevant team meetings and contribute to operational planning.
Salary Range
The full time equivalent base salary will be HEW Level 5 range $79,705 - $89,416 per annum + 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be in the range $93,254 - $104,616 per annum.
Qualifications
We are seeking a team member who is motivated, highly organised and experienced administrators/placement officers who thrive in a dynamic fast paced work environment. Ability to work in a team, high attention to detail, and intermediate to advanced software skills are required. Placement experience would be beneficial.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Providing administrative support for student placement including the allocation, coordination, and/or management of placement programs.
- Utilising placement software to manage the ongoing placement requirements and accurate reporting, as needed.
- Attending meetings of relevance to the role, including placement officer meetings at the School and Health Group, discipline-specific meetings for Nursing and Midwifery as required.
