Title: Policy and Planning Manager
Location: Sydney, Australia
Reporting to: Vice President IVD / R-Biopharm AG
Role Purpose:
The Policy and Planning Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing post-merger integration activities following the acquisition of AusDiagnostics PTY by R-Biopharm AG. The goal is to realize synergies, align cultures, harmonize business processes, and ensure long-term success of the combined entity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Integration Strategy & Planning:
Develop and implement a structured roadmap in close collaboration with stakeholders from both Germany and Australia.
- Project Management:
Lead cross-functional integration teams (e.g., Finance, HR, IT, Sales, QA/RA) with clear milestones and KPIs.
- Communication & Change Management:
Facilitate transparent communication between local and global teams; identify and manage change needs and cultural integration aspects.
- Synergy Tracking & Reporting:
Identify, track, and report on synergy targets (e.g., cost savings, operational efficiencies); provide regular updates to the global integration team.
- Risk & Conflict Management:
Anticipate potential integration challenges; develop mitigation strategies and manage escalations when necessary.
- Compliance & Quality Assurance:
Ensure all integration activities comply with relevant regulatory requirements (particularly IVD standards like ISO 13485, TGA, and potentially EU MDR/IVDR).
Education & Qualifications:
- University degree in Business, Life Sciences, Engineering, or a related field
- Additional qualifications in project management are a plus
Professional Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in post-merger integration or related transformation projects
- Background in the life sciences, MedTech, or IVD sector preferred
- Experience in international and cross-cultural project environments, ideally involving DACH and APAC regions
Technical Skills & Knowledge:
- Solid understanding of IVD industry processes
- Familiarity with due diligence, carve-outs, and post-merger operations
- Knowledge of Australian regulatory landscape (e.g., TGA) and EU regulations (e.g., MDR/IVDR)

Languages:
- Fluent in English (required)
- German language skills are a strong advantage (for HQ collaboration)

Pay: $140,000.00 – $160,000.00 per year
