About the role

Permanent full time opportunity to align with the strategic direction of the Director Internal Audit, conduct and support the delivery of the Annual Audit plan, providing sound professional advice and recommendations to the Director Internal Audit and the Metro North Health Executive Management Team to improve the monitoring, development and delivery of Metro North Health's programs.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

Lead and manage complex internal audits (risk-based assurance and advisory) within required timeframes to execute the Annual Internal Audit Plans for Metro North Health that reflect contemporary internal audit practices.
Prepare high quality audit reports outlining findings and recommendations which address root causes and enhance performance outcomes.
Prepare briefings and present audit findings to senior management, governance committees and other audit stakeholders and negotiate actions to address audit findings.
By critically assessing detailed or complex information, provide innovative and practical advice and solutions to officers at all levels of the organisations on whole-of-Government requirements, best practice standards, and Metro North Health policy and procedures to promote sound governance and internal controls.
