Retail Banking Services (RBS) is the public face of CommBank, delivering a seamless banking experience for the future, to our 10 million + personal and small business customers. We offer market-leading products and services, supported by some of the world’s best systems and processes.
The Credit Cards Crew has end-to-end responsibility for the Commonwealth Bank Credit Cards business. We consist of squads that look after the development and acquisition of the credit cards products, the growth of our portfolio including new products and features, and end-to-end process improvement. The Manage My Card squad looks after key processes such as card maintenance, card switch and card optionality.

As a Product Manager in the Manage My Card squad, you will be supporting the Product Owner to lead key strategic initiatives, identifying customer breakpoints, exploring potential solutions and helping to identify opportunities to automate, playing a key role in supporting NPS+30 and aligning with our vision of providing seamless, flexible and safe customer experiences. You will play a pivotal role in optimising and transforming the in-life credit card experience by modernising the technology stack and adopting a Digital first mindset. You will get the opportunity to work in one of the bank’s squads with end-to-end product discovery and delivery ownership and develop your cross-cultural collaboration skills working across time zones. You will report to the Chapter Lead for Credit Cards Product and Solutions, who will support your performance and development. Key responsibilities include
- Strategic Roadmap & Delivery: Contribute to the squad roadmap of deliverables and end to end delivery including managing cross squad dependencies, developing and implementing strategies for future state opportunities and customer experience optimisations
Governance & Delivery Lifecycle experience: Apply your judgement and delivery experience to drive outcomes in partnership with key stakeholders and engineering teams
Market research and analytics: Stay abreast of external market trends (from regulatory, economics to innovation), identify trends, customer breakpoints and competitive landscape
Risk management: Responsible for proactively managing risks including performance of regular controls, identification of issues, escalation and swift resolution of issues including remediation
Digital customer experience: Continuously improve the customer experience by reviewing and enhancing features, benefits and digital experience while driving desired business outcomes
We want to hear from people who have:
5 years + financial services experience
Credit Cards, Payments Product Management experience is preferred, experience managing banking products highly regarded
Delivery experience is preferred
Strong communication skills
Strong thought leadership, ability to work autonomously
The ability and enthusiasm to act as a ‘change leader' in supporting transformational activities
Experience dealing with a highly complex operational environment
A track record of working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders across teams, and able to present confidently to leadership
Delivery experience: Concept evaluation and strategy formulation, change governance, user story writing, Business verifications testing experience
Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, including the ability to progress multiple initiatives concurrently
Ability to think analytically and use data and insights to make decisions
Risk Mindset –all CommBank employees are expected to proactively identify and understand, openly discuss, and act on current and future risks.
A tertiary degree in Engineering, Finance, Banking, Economics, Accounting or related discipline is highly regarded.
