The opportunity for U
We’re now on the lookout for a Product Owner to engage with internal and external clients to identify and accurately document business objectives and requirements. In this role, you will be required to analyse and determine business requirements and create user stories which will lead to the development of business solutions software, UI and API designs. You will act as the business lead supporting one or more scrum team.
You’ll be joining a diverse team in an Australian based company that is transitioning to a SaaS delivery model, utilising the latest technology architecture and Agile delivery frameworks.

Job Description
What U will do:
Engage with internal and external clients to identify and accurately document business objectives and requirements.
Collaborate with prospective users and clients to understand and anticipate needs, translating them into actionable product requirements.
Define and communicate the vision for the project.
Create and maintain a product roadmap that outlines delivery milestones and summarises progress.
Set and agree on Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs).
Prepare training materials and provide support to end-users post-implementation.
Conduct demonstrations of completed enhancements for internal stakeholders and sponsoring clients.
Ensure the Product Backlog is visible, transparent, and clearly prioritised for all stakeholders.
Ensure the Development Team understands Product Backlog items to the necessary level of detail.
Act as the primary liaison and communicator between Scrum teams and stakeholders.
Inspect and evaluate product progress and present final deliverables to stakeholders and/or clients.
U will be someone with:
Tertiary qualifications and/or minimum 5 years’ experience in IT or Finance as a Business Analyst.
Product Owner Certification.
Detailed knowledge of Trading Rules and Platforms, Superannuation, or UK Pension and Wrap systems.
Experience in the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
Ability to communicate ideas, solutions, and issues clearly and concisely.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to quickly learn and understand new concepts.
High attention to detail.
Effective prioritisation and time management skills.
Awareness of risk management principles.
Understanding of client service level importance and balance.
Assertive, self-motivated, and collaborative mindset.
Ability to manage client expectations.
Experience with Jira and Confluence.
Desired Skills and Experience
U will ideally have these Skills too:
Knowledge of Trading Rules, Trading Platforms, and Corporate Actions.
Familiarity with SQL and XML.
UX design capabilities.
High-level understanding of Composer data model.
Workflow design experience.
Experience with industry compliance requirements.
Participation in legislative workgroups (e.g., ATO or HMRC).
