Join our Coke Plant team at BlueScope as a Project Coordinator, where you’ll play a key role in driving both hands-on mechanical project coordination and digital transformation.
About the Role
As our Project Coordinator, you’ll support multi-disciplinary teams by coordinating mechanical project activities and providing technical guidance. You’ll also lead the charge in digitising manual systems—implementing predictive analytics, digital maintenance tools, and reporting dashboards to enhance efficiency and decision-making. Coke Plant 1 is a vital part of BlueScope’s steelmaking process, producing high-quality coke for the Blast Furnace —essential for iron and steel production. With a new $12M export facility and a reputation for excellence, it’s an exciting time to be part of this transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate mechanical project activities and provide technical support
- Create and manage work orders in SAP
- Participate in RCA/DEA and isolation coordination
- Lead digital transformation initiatives across maintenance systems
- Promote digital adoption and support team upskilling
- Contribute to maintenance strategy development and continuous improvement
What We’re Looking For
- Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical preferred)
- Diploma of Engineering or willingness to obtain
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Proven experience in project coordination and maintenance
- Tech-savvy with a passion for digital tools and data analytics
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Computer literacy (MS Office, Outlook) and willingness to learn Industry 4.0 platforms
