Are you ready to take the next step in your project support career? We're looking for a proactive and organised Project Officer (Client Services) to join our team full-time, assisting the Project Coordinator and Field Sampling Supervisor in coordinating field activities and managing project data. You’ll play a key role in supporting project management activities for our Environment Health and Safety team, helping ensure the smooth delivery of vital health and safety initiatives.
Your key responsibilities in this role will include but are not limited to:
- Assist in the management of client and project data using both internal and external software solutions to the benefit of the client and team. e.g. SPM, SGS Engage and SLIM.
- Assist the field team in consolidating field data and compilation of analytical and technical reports.
- Support the SGS field teams in the coordination of sampling jobs, equipment and bottles to and from site.
- Support the Project Coordinator and Field Sampling Supervisor in the preparation of KPI reports and invoices
- Assist in the unpacking, sorting and checking of receivals to ensure they are correct and in good order.
- Register samples using the laboratory information management system.
- Resolve inconsistencies with incoming samples.
- Communicate sample receipt information with other members of the laboratory.
- Ensure samples are identified, labeled and stored correctly.
- Package samples for courier
- Prepare bottles and pack bottle orders as requested.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to gather the necessary information to assist the Environmental team in business development and improvement projects.
- Report on the progress of projects.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- Tertiary Qualifications in Science (preferred, but not essential).
- Experience within the environmental industry.
- Proven record of client interaction and project delivery.
- Previous data management experience utilising data management software (ArcGIS, MapInfo).
- Previous technical report writing experience.
- Intermediate to advanced computer literacy skills with the Microsoft Office suite
