In this role, you'll be ensuring longevity to one of our fleet’s life. You will help replace, overhaul and refresh the internal and external components, equipment and seating.
The project will also help build our future workforce capabilities, strengthen local economies and support the long-term growth of NSW’s transportation industry.
About you
As the Rail Maintainer you will:
- Inspect, service, overhaul, and repair systems, equipment, rotables and components.
- Complete train upgrades and modifications to align our fleet with modern technology standards, including fabrication, retrofits, rework, fitting, and general installation activities.
- You will be responsible for the quality and certification of all work allocated and the completion of quality systems documentation and/ or electronic data collection.
- Carry out project work, Special action requirements and Engineering modifications on Sydney Trains rolling stock.
- Undertake quality assurance of all work performed and complete quality assurance documents.
- You will report directly to the Delivery Manager Managers and Team Leaders, collaborating with a team of Rail Maintainers and Engineering support staff.
