Are you ready to step into a pivotal role that supports operational excellence, compliance, and performance across a broad and dynamic region? IMB Bank is looking for a Regional Business Support Manager to join our Retail Network and become a key support partner to our branches across the Southern Illawarra and South Coast—from Dapto to Eden.

This is a diverse and rewarding role that combines operations management, compliance oversight, business analysis, and continuous improvement. Reporting to the Regional Manager, you'll work side by side with Branch Managers and our people to ensure our branches deliver exceptional service while staying aligned with operational best practices and regulatory expectations.

The role

  • Supporting and driving operational compliance and performance across multiple branches
  • Providing hands-on support in rostering, facilities coordination, process reviews, and project input
  • Coordinating and improving operational systems and procedures, including risk and compliance practices
  • Analysing business performance, producing insightful reports and identifying areas for improvement
  • Acting as the central point for issue resolution, complaint handling, and change implementation
  • Championing a culture of risk awareness, service excellence, and continuous improvement
  • Partnering with departments including IT and Facilities to ensure branch needs are met.

The person

  • Extensive knowledge of Retail Banking operations, processes and compliance requirements
  • Proven ability in managing operational risk, including investigations and follow-up actions
  • Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to juggle priorities across multiple locations
  • Strong experience in roster management and workforce planning across diverse teams
  • High level of comfort with MS365 and other business information systems – a tech-savvy approach
  • Demonstrated ability to influence, negotiate and communicate effectively across all levels
  • Confidence in change management practices and leading teams through transformation
  • Skilled in interpreting data, preparing reports and providing clear, actionable insights
  • A collaborative mindset with a passion for improving the status quo
  • A current driver’s licence and the flexibility to travel regularly across the region (Dapto to Eden) and to Head Office in Wollongong.
