What you'll be doing
NSLHD is a large, research intensive health district. It includes the joint venture Kolling Institute, a partnership between the Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD) and the University of Sydney. The NSLHD Research Ethics and Governance team provides research support services for all research across NSLHD, including the Kolling Institute. The Research Development Manager will lead the Research Ethics and Governance team within my Research Hub, playing a key role in ensuring NSLHD researchers have access to high quality, timely advice and review processes for ethics and governance. This role is also responsible for supporting the NSLHD Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC) and ensuring NSLHD meets the Office for Health and Medical Research ethics and governance metrics.
This position is responsible for the governance of all research activities across NSLHD, to ensure compliance with the NSW Health and NSLHD policies and procedures, NSW Health Directives and other relevant State and Federal guidelines, regulations and legislations.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Please explain your tertiary qualification in science, health, ethics or relevant field and/or post-graduate or doctorate level including research training or equivalent relevant experience?
- Please detail your experience in clinical research governance(including indemnity, insurance clinical research agreements and /or contractual arrangements), human research ethics and/or clinical research, preferably within a hospital, medical research institute or contract research organisation environment, including sound knowledge of conducting or supporting the conduct of clinical trials.
Please describe your in-depth knowledge of the legislation and relevant codes relating to research and clinical trials including the NHMRC Australian Code for the Responsible Conduct of Research; NHMRC National Statement of Ethical Conduct in Human Research; Guideline for Good Clinical Practice; National Clinical Trials Governance Framework, the Human Tissue Act, OGTR and the application of Therapeutics Goods Act 1989.
