ANDARY SERVICE CENTRE PTY LTD, trading as AP PUNCHBOWL, is seeking an experienced and motivated Retail Manager to join our busy petrol station and convenience store team. In this full-time role, you will oversee daily store operations, lead and develop staff, and ensure exceptional customer service. The role includes managing inventory, coordinating suppliers, maintaining compliance with safety and industry regulations, and driving sales performance. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills, operational expertise, and a customer-focused mindset. This position is integral to maintaining our reputation for quality service and supporting our growth within the community.
Task & responsibilities:
Manage the day-to-day operations of the petrol station, including fuel and convenience store services.
Select and manage the range of products, stock quantities, and quality of service.
Develop and execute strategies for purchasing, marketing, and pricing.
Monitor inventory levels, order stock, and liaise with suppliers to maintain product availability.
Implement procedures for customer service, cash handling, safety, and store presentation.
Track and analyse sales performance and develop strategies to meet business targets.
Manage budgets, costs, and pricing while maximising profitability.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Handle customer enquiries and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
Lead, supervise, and motivate staff to ensure high performance and adherence to company policies.
Conduct staff training, performance reviews, and manage rosters to ensure adequate coverage.
Skills and Experience Requirement:
Proven experience in retail management, preferably in a fuel or convenience store setting.
Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Ability to manage staff, stock, and store operations independently.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Excellent customer service and conflict resolution skills.
Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, as required.
