As a Rural Products Sales Manager at Elders, you will lead a dynamic retail sales team in Rockhampton to deliver high-impact agricultural solutions tailored to local client needs. Your role will involve managing branch retail operations, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and achieving sales targets through strong client relationships and effective team leadership. With a solid foundation in agricultural products, market trends, and financial management, you will drive performance in a region central to Queensland's agricultural sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coach the sales team to meet and exceed sales and service targets
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their business needs and promote suitable products
- Oversee safe storage and handling of agricultural products in accordance with industry standards
- Manage retail operations including stock control, ordering, and merchandising
- Monitor financial performance and implement strategies to improve profitability
- Stay informed of seasonal trends, local market conditions, and product developments
Key Requirements:
- Proven retail sales and team management experience, preferably in the agricultural sector
- Sound understanding of animal health and agronomic products
- Knowledge of local farming practices and seasonal demand cycles
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Financial acumen and budgeting experience
