The Role
As a Protective Security Services Branch Consultant, you will work closely with our clients to foster a proactive Health, Safety, Security, Environment, and Quality (HSSEQ) culture. You will be embedded within client organisations, providing specialist advice, developing and implementing management systems, and delivering audits, risk workshops, and compliance programs with a strong focus on DSPF, DISP, and PSPF requirements.
Developing and implementing security management systems to meet client and Omni requirements
Conducting audits, risk/threat assessments, and compliance workshops against ISO, PSPF, DSPF, and DISP standards
Acting as a trusted point of contact for clients, managing Statements of Work, and addressing emerging issues
Building strong client relationships, addressing feedback effectively, and promoting Omni’s values
Identifying and managing risks in line with Omni’s Risk Management Framework
Contributing to business development and continuous service improvement initiatives

We are seeking a highly skilled safety and security professional with operational experience in high-threat environments and strong governance expertise. You will be confident working autonomously, translating complex security frameworks into practical, client-focused solutions, and building trust with diverse stakeholders.
The below key requirements to be demonstrated by all employees to Omni
Be an Australian Citizen
Hold a current Australian Government Security Clearance or be willing to obtain one (NV1 minimum)
Strong organisational, communication, and negotiation skills
Commitment to Omni’s values and ethical standards
Essential Requirements
Demonstrated experience with DSPF, DISP, and PSPF
Certificate IV in Security and Risk Management
Demonstrated experience as a security professional in a high-threat environment
Relevant state/territory security licence
Currently holds valid or previously held Defence Security Officer Course
In addition, this role will require:
Project management qualification or equivalent experience
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
Advanced security qualifications (e.g., Intelligence, Technical Surveillance Counter-Measures, Investigations)
Knowledge of ISO 27001, 28000, and 31001
