About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Manager to manage our APAC Cloud Engineering team to implement and run our cloud hosted SaaS services primarily delivered within Bravura's AWS tenancies. Reporting to our Head of Cloud and based out of any of our offices in Sydney, Melbourne or Auckland, you will be responsible for managing the delivery of cloud services to our hosted customers within APAC. Planning, coordinating and overseeing the design and implementation of change, driving continuous improvement and operational excellence. What You’ll Do
- Thought leadership in all aspects of Cloud tooling, mentoring a team of Cloud engineers fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement and resource management
- Contribute to the global cloud strategy, driving adoption of cloud best practices, including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code and automated testing
- Evaluate existing processes and tools to identify areas for improvement and optimisation
- Oversee the design, implementation and management of cloud infrastructure ensuring security, scalability, and performance standards are met
- Manage existing hybrid cloud/on prem data centre environments driving the migration of service to AWS
- Oversee operational resilience activities such as maintenance, testing of business continuity plans, disaster recovery ensuring good practice security posture and compliance with global security policies
- Work with DevOps teams to promote CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test and deployment practices
- Work with Development teams to promote software and process improvements to streamline the release process and improve time to market for software updates and features
- Develop incident response procedures and ensure incidents are resolved in a timely manner
- Act as escalation point for cloud related incidents in line with our Major Incident Management procedures
- Trusted SME in support of sales and account management teams and customer presentations
Unleash your potential
To be successful in this role, your background and experience will include:
- 10 years of IT Engineering technical and management experience with cloud services
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field
- Technical experience working with AWS Cloud services and tooling such as CI/CD technologies, Containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes), Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Chef/Puppet/Ansible), Source control platforms (GitLab), Code Orchestration (Atmos)
- Experience overseeing the design, implementation and management of cloud infrastructure ensuring security, scalability, and performance is met within cloud standards
- Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, able to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders across all levels
- Excellent problem solving, decision making and analytical skills with a proactive approach to resolving issues
- Challenge the status quo for the greater good of the business
- Detail orientated and passionate about software and cloud
