Reporting into the Head of Internal Communications, we are looking for an eager and driven individual to help inform, engage and inspire our employees at Rest through exciting internal communications. In this role the successful candidate will be responsible for developing timely, dynamic and integrated internal communications to drive employee engagement; business partner with senior leaders and project teams; build pride in our organisation; and promote a shared understanding of Rest’s culture, purpose, mission and member proposition to support us in achieving our Super Simple strategy.
Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities
- Implement a comprehensive internal communications strategy that supports Rest’s business goals and enhances employee engagement
- Be a trusted advisor to senior leaders and provide strategic counsel on internal messaging and engagement activities
- Create compelling content that showcases our mission, purpose, values and member-centricity to engage and inspire Rest employees and build pride in our fund
- Partner with the business to provide communications support and advice, particularly P&C and Change Management
- Take ownership of Rest’s internal communications channels including Rest's intranet and news calendar as well as digital screens, videos, presentations etc
- End-to-end management and delivery of internal communications projects and campaigns that inform, inspire and connect employees across the organisation,
- Run internal events including employee briefings, social and wellbeing activities with responsibility for the budget and vendor relationships
- Support leaders in communicating with authenticity and clarity, helping them engage effectively with employees across the organisation
- Develop and maintain strong, productive relationships with key internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging
- Translate complex business initiatives into clear, engaging communications that resonate with employees
- Ensure all internal communications are aligned with Rest’s tone of voice, values and strategy.
- Work closely with other members of the Communications & Community team on integrated campaigns.
Qualifications
- Qualifications in journalism, communications, business or relevant field
Required experience, understanding or credentials including
- 10+ years’ experience in corporate affairs or communications, preferably in financial services
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical terms simply using plain English
- Excellent time management and negotiation skills including working under pressure with the ability to
- manage multiple tasks and competing priorities to meet deadlines
- Experience developing communication materials and messaging across different mediums and audiences
- Being personable, ability to work proactively in a small team, and operate autonomously
- Excellent relationship-building skills with proven ability to develop positive working relationships with multiple key stakeholder
