About the Business Unit:

Fines and Enforcement Services (FES) is a business unit within the Department of Justice and Community Safety's Courts, Civil and Criminal Law. FES is responsible for managing the end-to-end infringements system in Victoria and includes the Director, Fines Victoria and Director, Sheriff's Office Victoria (Sheriff of Victoria).

Sheriff's Office Victoria (SOV) is an office within FES and provides strategic direction and support on policy, operational and technological matters to regional sheriff's officers and regional management, and coordinates centralised administrative functions on behalf of the Sheriff of Victoria.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Deputy Sheriff, the Sheriff's Office Specialist (Analysis and Reporting) will contribute to the effective enforcement of outstanding warrants by providing a range of data analysis and reporting on operational outcomes. The role will also provide day-to-day support and guidance to the Deputy Sheriff and broader FES management team.

Some of your other duties will include:

  • Researching and extraction of data and information through a range of available IT programs.
  • Monitoring evaluating and reporting on complex case management, operational deployment and other key compliance activities.
  • Liaising with sheriff's officers and law enforcement agencies including Victoria Police, Australian Federal Police, Customs/Immigration, VicRoads or local law enforcement agencies.

About You:

As our ideal candidate, you will possess:

  • Demonstrated record of achievement in data analysis with advanced expertise in applying a range of investigative techniques and processes.
  • Demonstrated experience and expertise in the end-to-end infringement system, or similar debt management or enforcement environment.
  • Understanding of the criminal and civil legal processes, and enforcement practices associated with the enforcement of debt.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.
