We’re Hey V.A, a full-service Australian VA Agency blending in-house structure with a virtual delivery model. We offer admin, design, digital marketing, tech support and more to ambitious small businesses. Our clients are a mix of service-based and e-commerce brands, and we help them grow, streamline and show up with confidence. Known for our high standards, thoughtful strategy and team culture, we’re now looking for a new social media star to help us (and our clients) show up online like we mean it.
About the role
This is an in-office role based in Mona Vale. You’ll be the go-to for all things content and community. Creating social media strategies, developing content calendars, shooting and editing reels, writing captions, engaging with followers, and tracking what’s working and what’s not.
You’ll work across a mix of client accounts and Hey V.A’s own marketing, with support from our design and strategy team. It’s creative, collaborative, and purpose-led.
What you’ll be doing
- Social media management: Plan, schedule, post and manage content across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and LinkedIn
- Content creation: Write captions, design graphics, create carousels, shoot and edit Reels, and bring fresh ideas to the table
- Community engagement: Monitor comments and DMs, keep conversations active and aligned to tone of voice
- Strategy support: Build content calendars, align posts to goals, lead generation planning and contribute to broader marketing campaigns
- Content shoots: Plan, photograph, and edit product or people shoots (flat lays, lifestyle, BTS, headshots etc.)
- Reporting & optimisation: Track post performance, pull monthly reports, and use the data to inform future content
- Trend-watching: Stay across what’s working online and bring proactive ideas forward
You’re someone who…
- Has 2–4 years of experience in social media and content roles
- Writes clearly, creatively and with strong brand voice awareness
- Can confidently shoot and edit short-form video (Reels, TikToks, BTS etc.)
- Has a strong eye for design and understands how to create visually cohesive content
- Loves systems and workflows. You like to plan, batch and keep things on track but you can also knock up a killer reel last minute.
- Knows your way around photography and the setup i.e lighting, tripods, cameras, and styling, aren’t foreign to you
- Is across the latest social updates, from algorithm changes to emerging trends
- You’re confident being on camera. Whether it’s jumping into a Reel, filming a quick TikTok, or repping the team in a behind-the-scenes insta story
- Can work full-time from our Mona Vale office, with flexibility around hours for the right person.

- Tools like Later, Planable, Canva, CapCut, Meta Business Suite
- Service-based and eCommerce brands
- Influencer marketing, paid ad creative, or video editing tools
