We Are Key Assets Australia

Key Assets is a leading not-for-profit, children, family and community services agency, founded in Australia in 2007. We provide foster carer, family services and disability services. Operating across all states and Norfolk Island, our purpose is to achieve positive and lasting outcomes for children, families, and communities. To achieve that, we need people like you!

We pride ourselves on being inclusive and embrace and celebrate the diversity of all people within our communities. Our diversity helps us provide the best support possible to carers, families, children and young people and all of our external stakeholders.

A little about the role

Our team of Social Workers and Case Workers provide service delivery throughout Tasmania, across the continuum of care within Out of Home Care services.

Our office is located in Devonport, however we service the greater North West region, facilitating direct work with carers and children and young people, both in their homes and in other contexts such as school and in community. Key Assets have hybrid working options available.

Reporting to the Program Manager for Out of Home Care, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing interventions and support, psychoeducation, crisis management, and practical support to carers and CYP, in accordance with care plans, paying particular attention to safeguarding, voice of child work, building carer confidence and capacity, and supporting therapeutic care environments.
  • Develop and facilitate Key Care Team meetings and work closely with Child Safety Services to monitor risks and individual outcomes reporting.
  • Establish and maintain appropriate professional records, ensuring documentation is relevant, contemporaneous and in accordance with Key Assets Policy and Departmental expectations.

The base salary for this position is $85,120.36 - $91,586.56 per annum + super + vehicle & fuel card + salary packaging options up to $15,900 per annum.

This position is full-time, ongoing.
